Math Anxiety ... Who Knew?
Check out this link that describes a study of the relationship between math anxiety and test marks. It seems that the fear of the math questions is so high in some people that the fear itself will cause the student to have a lower mark than they should.

Its funny, I seem to make all six of those faces at least once during the course of a biochem lab.
Ah well, at least we have a new source of error in the month long thaw of the biochemicals in the biology lab freezer. Yet another biology excuse for problems in the chemistry lab.
